Today begins the 11 day marathon of music that is Summerfest. Located in Milwaukee on the Henry Maier Festival Park, this eleven day festival has 11 stages and hosts over 700 bands. The crowds are always huge and this year is no different with crowds expected to push the 1,000,000 mark. Ticket prices are very affordable at only $15 dollars for all the stages except the Marcus Amphitheater costing an extra $15 dollars. They run promotions everyday for discounted or free tickets. Today, June 25′s promotion is, bring in three canned goods and receive a free ticket. Check the summerfest website for more details about tickets.

The bands that show up to this event range from country to rap and heavy metal to reggae. Some of the big names include, Talib Kweli, Stevie Wonder with John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, Robert Randolph, The Wailers, STS9 and Matisyahu. We here at the BP Media office are going to multiple shows at this event.
